External linking is the process of linking to resources outside of the website. This includes other websites, social media sites, and other websites related to your company or site content.
Don’t confuse external linking with internal linking, a basic function of blogging. External linking takes you away from your own website. Internal linking takes you within your own website to another page/post. We often use external links as part of search engine optimization (SEO).
