Revenue is the total amount of money brought in by a product or service over an agreed period. We usually express revenue in monetary terms. Revenue makes a company profitable, and it’s the amount of money brought in by a business.

The other name for Revenue is Income. Revenue results from a company’s business, product, or service. The other name for Revenue is Sales. Revenue does not include costs. A business needs to make a profit, so it needs to sell a product for more than it costs to make and market the product.
