Muhammad

Muhammad, also spelled as Mohammad or Mohammed, is the central figure of Islam and is regarded by Muslims as the last and final prophet and messenger of God (Allah). He was born in Mecca, in present-day Saudi Arabia, around the year 570 CE.

Muhammad’s teachings emphasized the worship of one God, the importance of personal ethics and morality, social justice, compassion, and the pursuit of knowledge. He established a monotheistic religious community in Medina, known as the ummah, which served as a model for governance, community life, and social welfare.
